Ultimate Corp is dead, but [[UltPlus]] (the db) is still sold/supported(?) by [[http://www.NextechFL.com NextechFL]].

I worked on Ultimates for years, and thought they were pretty nifty.  I still remember upgrading a big ol' IBM mainframe to release 210 and being thrilled by all the new features in basic.  That was before I discovered [[UniData]], of course :-)

Does anyone know the story about Gus Giobbi - the CEO?  I remember rumours about the Mafia and other shady dealings before they finally went under.
